How do I protest the assessment of my property?
You have the right to appeal your assessed value each year at the March meeting of the Board of Review. After you have received your Assessment Notice in February, you must make an appointment through the Assessing Department by phone, in person, or in writing to appear before the board to support your contention of market value. Complete the form Petition to Board of Review and bring it with you the day of your appointment. Or, you may complete the form in the Assessing Department the day of the appointment.
