Join the Wii video game craze! This game is great to help improve hand-eye coordination and movement, and can be done while seated. This drop-in program is lots of fun! Drop in fee applies.

Mexican Train

Wednesdays at 11 am. This twist on the classic Domino game is great fun! Everyone is invited to play in this drop-in program. Don’t know how to play? No worries! We’ll teach you this fun game!

Scarlet Ladies of Fraser

The Scarlet Ladies group meets at the Fraser Activities Center on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for conversations, friendship, lunches and outings-whatever we want to do!  You must be a member of the Fraser Activity Center and $25 if you’re a Fraser resident & $35 if you reside outside of Fraser.  Our only rules are to wear purple and a RED hat and have fun!  For more info on the Scarlet Ladies, Call Gail at (586) 731-2996.

Seniors 50+ Pickleball

Monday - Friday at 9:00 am 

This fun program is co-ed drop-in at the Activity Center. Don’t know how to play? Call the Center to set up a lesson! Drop-in fee: $1 members, non-members can try it out 3 times and then will be required to become a senior center member. 

Starting Aug. 20th (Third Tuesday of the month) we will have open Pickleball in the gym from 6:30 – 8pm. If we get a good turnout we will create a Fall League.

Exercise Club

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am – Richard Simmons Silver Foxes low impact exercise.

Mondays at 10 am – Chair Tai Chi

Meet up with friends and exercise along with these videos that have a fan following! Each session is suitable for the beginner or intermediate exerciser and is designed to increase flexibility, stamina and balance. Drop in fee applies.

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays at 11 am, 6 week sessions starting August 13th, September 24th  and November 5th

Chair yoga focuses on increasing movement and using a chair assures that people of all abilities are able to participate. Cost for 6 sessions is $26 members, $32 non-members.

Toenail Trimming by Hosey Foot & Ankle Center

Doctors from Hosey Foot & Ankle Center will be coming in to do nail trimmings. There is no charge for this service, however proper paperwork is to be completed to bill your insurance company. Please register by Friday, August 16th.

Line Dancing/Exercise Class

Wednesdays (Starting September) from 1:00-2:00pm

Let’s get the week started with a little fun and exercise! Join us for line dancing, led by Carol Pakizer who has 25 years of experience! Cost is $15 Members and $20 Non-Members for the full 4 week class or $6.00 drop in fee per week. This is an ongoing class that can be registered for monthly. Sign up today!

Beginners and Intermediate Tai Chi with Instructor John Marchowitz

Mondays, 5 week sessions starting August 26th & October 7th

Beginners at 1pm, Intermediate at 2pm

Find your Zen with this beginning Tai Chi Class with an option to use chair. Tai Chi exercises help to rejuvenate, heal, energize and de-stress; and help those with arthritis, joint pain, back pain and more. Cost for 5-week session is $26 for members, $32 for non-members. Drop in fee is $7.

Mat Yoga

Mondays at 6 pm, 7 week sessions Starting September 16th and November 11th

Yoga helps calm the mind, body, and spirit and also has many health benefits!  Our yoga class is taught by the talented Jasmin! From beginners to advance students, Jasmin’s experience with many different types of people allows her to modify these poses for all abilities! Cost for 7-week session is $65 Resident, $75 non-resident.

Brains and Balance Lecture Series by Certified Instructor Kathy Housey

Tuesdays in October starting Oct. 1st @ 1pm. Kathy Housey, certified "Brains and Balance" instructor, will be holding four different lectures on the subject of brain health. They will occur every Tuesday in October at 1 pm at the Fraser Activity Center. Kathy will discuss the topics of:

Wreath Making Workshop

Join us for a wreath making workshop. We will have everything from Pinecones to flowers to complete your front door wreath. We have supplies for fall and also Christmas. Trip to Belle Isle

Belle Isle Park is a 982-acre island park located in Detroit with historic, environmental, and cultural resources that have been beloved for generations.  The park is home to the Belle Isle Aquarium, Ann Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Belle Isle Nature Center & the James Scott Memorial Fountain, and more!  We will be stopping at the Aquarium & the Fountain, if time permits, we may visit the Conservatory.  * Don’t forget to bring good walking shoes.          Cost is $12 Members and $16 Non-Members

Greenfield Village Tour

Little Caesars Arena Tour

Thursday, September 12, Bus leaves at 9am
This will be the trip of the year.  Bring a friend & have a great time at this landmark facility.  Wear or bring a good pair of walking shoes as this is a 1 1/2 mile guided tour through the arena. To round out your day we will stop for lunch in the arena at Kid Rock's Rest or the District Market. (As always lunch is on your own.) Cost is $24 Members and $29 Non-Members.

Metro Park-Guided "Nature Bus" Tour
Friday September 20th 

Jump on our NATURE BUS! Join us for a guided bus tour (by DNR's Dale) around Lake St. Clair Metro Park. Dale will explain everything about Metro Park from wildlife to plant life and on to history. 75th Annual Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show

Meadowbrook “Murder on the Orient Express”

Upland Hills Farm Fall Festival & Apple Orchard

This festival has something for all ages! Enjoy visiting the animals, milk a cow, watch a farm demonstration, be amazed at the Baffling Magic Show, enjoy a hayride in the woods, walk the storybook trail, pick a pumpkin and finish the day with a warm donut and a beverage. OPC “Tribute 2 the Stars” Performance & Luncheon

We are happy to announce the fall show at the OPC Center in Rochester.  “Tribute 2 The Stars” is a musical variety show that will showcase the talent of the OPC performers in singing, dancing & storytelling paying homage to their favorite stars!  This performance includes a served luncheon with a delicious dessert from 12 pm to 1pm followed by the show from 1:00-3:00.  Cost is $25.00 Members and $30.00 Non Members

Ford Field Tour

We invite you to tour Ford Field for a behind-the scenes glimpse at Detroit’s crown jewel & the home of Detroit Lions.  Ford Field represents Detroit’s history.  Lunch is on your own XXXXXXXXXXXXXX restaurant at Ford Field. Members $14.00 and Non-Members $18.00

Leader Dogs for the Blind Tour

Saturday, November 16th, Bus departs at 12 pm.
Join us for an afternoon tour at Rochester Hills leader Dogs for the Blind. The tour is about 1.5 hours of walking and standing, so wear your comfy shoes! We will stop at Alex’s Restaurant after the tour. As always, cost of lunch is on your own. Cost is $10 members, $13 non-members.


Tech Assistance Tuesdays

Tuesdays between 1pm and 4pm

Could you use some assistance with your new phone, tablet or laptop? Perhaps you just need to brush up on how to use your email or Facebook account. Bring your questions as you meet one-on-one with a volunteer in this FREE program. Must register one week in advance, cancellations must be at least 24 hours in advance to respect the volunteer assistant’s time. Please note the topic you would like assistance with at time of registration. Interested in volunteering? Call the office or email to be put on the volunteer call list.

Bridge Class Instruction 

Have you ever wanted to know how to play Bridge, or want to improve your game? Bridge Instructor Chet will be holding classes to pass on this great game! Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 2 pm and cost $30 for a six-week class. Class start date to be determined, a minimum of 6 interested persons are needed to start the class so sign up on the waitlist at the Senior office!
