Wednesdays at 11 am. This twist on the classic Domino game is great fun! Everyone is invited to play in this drop-in program. Don’t know how to play? No worries! We’ll teach you this fun game!

Fraser Seniors Volunteer Force

Our first Meeting is on Thurs., Nov. 15th @ 4 at the Activity Center! Become a Member of the Fraser Seniors Volunteer Force. If you could spare some time to volunteer, we could use some helping hands in the following areas: Crafting, Holiday Parties (Planing, decorating, serving, door prize giveaways), Reminder calls, Birthday calls, Bagel Pick up & Plating, Organize Books & Cards. Volunteer Force Members will receive a monthly luncheon, volunteer badge, and opportunities to win trips to our outings and events. Please give us a call (586) 296-8483

Senior Christmas Party

Tuesday, December 18th, Doors at 11:30am, Lunch served at Noon
Celebrate the holidays with your friends at the Fraser Activity Center! We will have a full catered holiday meal complete with dessert and drink, a special gift for those in attendance and a lovely choir performance by the award winning Fraser Singers that is sure to put a smile on your face! Matter of  Balance

Tuesday, TBD from 1pm to 3pm

This is a weekly program and runs for 8 weeks.

Do you have concerns about falling? Join this class presented by the Macomb Area Agency on Aging to learn informational tips, group exercises to increase strength, flexibility and endurance while sharing solutions & positive thinking.  A Matter of Balance is an evidence based program for seniors who want to learn more about preventing falls. Mat Yoga

Mondays at 6 pm, Starting October 8th, November 26th

Yoga helps calm the mind, body, and spirit and also has many health benefits!  Our yoga class is taught by the talented Jasmin! From beginners to advance students, Jasmin’s experience with many different types of people allows her to modify these poses for all abilities! Cost is $65 Resident, $75 non-resident for 7 weeks.

Seniors 55+ Pickleball

Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 10 am

This fun program is co-ed drop-in and seniors from every community are welcome to play at the Activity Center. Don’t know how to play? Call the Center to set up a lesson! Drop-in fee: $1 members, $2 non-members.

Exercise Club

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am – Richard Simmons Silver Foxes low impact exercise.

Mondays at 10 am – Chair Tai Chi

Meet up with friends and exercise along with these videos that have a fan following! Each session is suitable for the beginner or intermediate exerciser and is designed to increase flexibility, stamina and balance. Drop in fee applies.

Beginners and Intermediate Tai Chi with Instructor John Marchowitz

Mondays beginners at 1pm, Intermediate at 2pm

5 week sessions starting Oct 29, Dec 10

Find your Zen with this beginning Tai Chi Class with an option to use chair. Tai Chi exercises help to rejuvenate, heal, energize and de-stress; and help those with arthritis, joint pain, back pain and more. Call the center to find the next start date for this class. Cost for 5-week session is $26 for members, $32 for non-members. Drop in fee is $7.

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays at 11 am, starting November 6th, January 8th 2019

The Parade Company Tour

Discover Detroit’s most enchanting hidden treasure! Venture into magical Parade land & experience a behind the scenes look at “America’s Thanksgivings Day Parade”. A stop at Fraser’s Ram’s Horn on our way back for lunch will round out the day. As always lunch is on your own. Cost is $18 Members, $22 Non-Members

Leader dogs for the Blind Tour

Saturday, November 3rd, Bus departs at 12 pm.

Join us for an afternoon tour at Rochester Hills leader Dogs for the Blind. The tour is about 1.5 hours of walking and standing, so wear your comfy shoes! We will stop at Alex’s Restaurant after the tour. As always, cost of lunch is on your own. Cost is $10 members, $13 non-members.

Little Ceasars Arena Tour

Tuesday, November 6th   and Monday, January 28th, Bus leaves at 9am

This will be the trip of the year! Bring a friend and have a great time at this landmark facility. Wear a good pair of walking shoes as this is a 1.5 mile guided tour through the arena. To round out your day we will stop for lunch in the arena at Kid Rock’s Restaurant or the District market. As always, lunch is on your own. Cost is $24 members, $29 non-members.

Have lunch at the C-Pub Bar and Grill and shop at Always Christmas for your favorite holiday decorations. Round off the trip with a visit to Yates Cider Mill! Cost is $8 members, $10 non-members. Lunch and shopping are on your own.

City of Fraser Tree Lighting Ceremony

Saturday, December 1st . Bus Leaves at 5:15pm

Enjoy performances from: FHS Marching Band & Fraser Singers.  Witness Santa getting the Key to the city and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while visiting with Santa! Stop by the S’mores station to make a treat! Cost is $4 for members and $6 for non-members for Transportation. Don’t need transportation to get there? Event will be at Fraser City hall; all are welcome to attend!

The Scintas Holiday Show @ Andiamo's

Boar’s Head Festival at St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser

Sunday, December 9th at 5 pm

Join St. John Lutheran Church as they recreate this unique Christmas Festival set in 14th century England. It is a portrayal and celebration of Christ's birth in Bethlehem.  Join the 120 cast members donned in medieval costumes to bring this ancient festival back to life on stage! Little Shop of Horrors Meet & Greet at the Fraser Performing Arts Center

Bridge Class

Have you ever wanted to know how to play Bridge, or want to improve your game? Bridge Instructor Chet will be holding classes to pass on this great game! Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 2 pm and cost $30 for a six week class. Class start date to be determined, a minimum of 6 interested persons are needed to start the class so sign up on the waitlist at the Senior office!
